Before joining EPL, Masters served as a Managing Director at Watford FC for five years, helping to establish a new football club in 2006. He also held managerial roles at several other professional football clubs, including Tottenham Hotspur and Birmingham City Football Clubs.

Most notably, he was Chief Operating Officer for Fulham FC from 2011-2015 and Managing Director of Southampton FC from 2015-2019.
